Jai Bhim "Jai Bhim!" cry the children of Kanpur, in praise of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkhar, the famous Dalit leader and activist. Deo Kumar, pictured, runs daily workshops for Dalit sweeper children to educate and inspire them. His favourite phrase, "Drop the broom and pick up the pen", has become the mantra of many of the sweeper children of Kanpur. |
